In addition to the installation of hundreds of Connectpoint’s solar-powered e-Paper Digital Bus Stop® displays across the city’s 85 bus lines, TriMet in Portland has installed Connectpoint’s UL listed LED displays at every Max Light Rail and Division Street BRT station. The LED displays are available in two sizes and three configurations: single sided, double sided, double sided with a downlight. TriMet uses the LEDs to provide next train and bus arrival and connection information as well as real-time service alerts.
TriMet’s MAX Light Rail network extends across 60 miles, and is the fourth-busiest light rail system in the U.S. by annual ridership, providing almost 39 million trips in 2018, according to a transit ridership report from the American Public Transportation Association.
