SMART (Suburban Mobility Authority for Regional Transportation) is enhancing bus stops along three major corridors with new Brasco bus shelters equipped with Connectpoint® Digital Bus Stop® displays making it their biggest digital investment. Through this partnership SMART is deploying up to 60 – projected by year-end 2019 – Brasco Shelters/Connectpoint® Digital Bus Stop® displays to further enhance the rider’s experience on its newest bus service called FAST – Frequent. Connectpoint® Digital Bus Stop® offers ground breaking technology via solar-powered, real- time departure and schedule information as well as service alerts. These “smart city” digital signs are equipped with ePaper displays that provide crystal-clear readability any hour of the day or night. Connectpoint’s Digital Bus Stop® signs are easy to install, can be retrofitted to your existing bus stops or shelters and managed remotely via their content management system, CPAM. Additionally, the shelters are solar powered and equipped with USB ports, LED lights, emergency call boxes and bus stop beacons to enhance the security of the shelters and create a more comfortable waiting area for riders.
